Application of Ichthammol(CAS:8029-68-3 )
Ichthyolipid is a disinfectant and antiseptic. It has mild irritating, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects. It can reduce inflammation, reduce swelling, inhibit secretion, and is used for boils. Ichthyolipid will form resinous clumps when exposed to acid. It can release ammonia gas when combined with alkaline substances. Therefore, it should not be combined with acids, alkalis, alkaloids and iron salts.
